About us

About the developer

A Trusted Energy Partner in Albania

Our main objective is to develop the field and carry out natural gas activities in Albania. We plan to produce more cleaner-burning natural gas to meet the growing local demand.

Furthermore, we intend to use the natural gas in the production of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and LNG (Liquid Natural Gas). Our goal is to start drilling more wells to increase the quantity produced.

Geology

Regional Geological Background

The Delvina Block sits within the Ionian Zone, a prolific hydrocarbon province in southern Albania’s Adriatic Basin. The reservoir comprises fractured Paleogene–Cretaceous basinal carbonates developed as a sub-thrust play. Average reservoir depth: 2,800–3,500m SS, with ~700m proven gross thickness.

Exploration & Development History

  • 80s

    Discovery by DPNG (Albpetrol)

First sub-thrust discovery in Albania. Sparse 2D seismic failed to map full extent.

  • 07
